Sofistar delivers new product for option dynamic hedging
This new spread-sheet based solution allows users to automatically delta hedge specific options trades over multiple accounts in Interactive Brokers. The choice of technology was dictated by the end-user need to be able to adapt the order automation to other types of trades in the future with minimum impact and cost.
Sofistar to offer R solution
Sofistar has announced the start of a new project that will deliver a turn-key solution for the integration of R-based investment strategies with Interactive Brokers and IQ Feed. The client, a statistical and quantitative consultant to financial companies based in Toronto, requires two libraries that will enable traders and fund-managers using the R open-source code to incorporate their functionality with the IB API. This solution will also be extended to IQ Feed and will support the complete automation of historical data into R-based models. Managing Partner, Christopher Glur commented "This is a new development for Sofistar and an acknowledgment of the emergence of R as one of the favourite programming languages among the investment community".
