Thanks to the waste experience gained during the analysis of the data collected for the Swiss Census for Mobility and Transportation and its interdisciplinary know-how, Sofistar was able to develop an innovative model for the evaluation of the energy consumption due to mobility. The study was done for Kanton Zürich and made use of georeferenced data, that were collected for the first time as part of the Swiss Censum. This allowed a much more precise evaluation and opens up many perspectives for more detailed analysis. The study was very well received and its results will be published by the Kantonal Buro of Statistics.
